4 Steps for an Emergency Plan
Posted by Animal Wellness Magazine and shared by Remy's Walking Buddies in Attleboro

4 Steps for an Emergency Plan for your pets. Click to read the article at Animal Wellness Magazine...

"Have you ever considered who would pick up your pets if you weren't home during an emergency evacuation?  Creating an emergency plan can help!  Always keep it somewhere accessible.  It might also be useful to keep a copy of your passport, birth certificate and the like in there, too, as that is always something you need when you have to go quickly!"

You wouldn’t let yourself overheat, don’t make me!

Hot weather is here! You wouldn’t sit in a car with the windows rolled up (Or even cracked open) with the temperatures rising. So don’t put our furry friends in a similar situation.

Even on a 70 degree day, within 30 minutes, the interior of a vehicle can reach OVER 100 degrees! You wouldn’t sit in a 100 degree car, would you? With that in mind, as the temps get warmer and warmer, on a 85 degree day, it will only take 10 minutes to reach over 100 degrees in the car.

Pets die every day due to lack of care and concern, from leaving them unattended in a hot vehicle. Don’t let your pet become a statistic. If you see a pet left unattended in a vehicle on a warm day, do not hesitate to call your local police department or call 911 to be connected to your local authority.

Tis the season... your actions or lack of them can mean life or death when it comes to animals
in a vehicle.  Many times Fido is best suited to stay home.  However we see it all too often an
animal sitting in the car panting just moments away from what could be a final ending.
If you should see an animal in distress speak up and be their voice.
