writes, "After careful consideration and review, we are happy to announce the late Chris Cornetta as this year's Grand Marshal of the annual Santa Parade. Accepting on his behalf are his wife, Melissa; daughter, Cirsten; son,Cameren; along with his Mom and siblings and their spouses."
So many nominations were received this year, making this choice a difficult one, but Chris' light shone through. Chris passed away suddenly earlier this year. He was a 30-year veteran of the North Attleborough Fire Department and the owner of Cornetta Appliances, known as "your favorite appliance guy". He encouraged the youth he coached in Pop Warner football, as well as NA Little League. Chris ran the North Attleborough Fire Department's Kids' Day Parade for 17 years. "There probably wasn't a family in North Attleboro that wasn't touched in one way or another by Chris Cornetta. He was always there to lend a hand in any way that he could." "He was a wonderful husband and father, and his loyalty, integrity and dedication to this town was more than what most of us could even think about giving."

The 64th annual Santa Parade, sponsored by Bristol County Savings Bank, and division sponsors W.H. Riley & Son Inc. and Box Seats Restaurant takes place on Sunday, December 1. The Parade steps off at 3:00 pm from Baptist Common, travels through the center of town and ends at Veterans Park in front of Town Hall. Following the Parade, the winners of the Float Competition will be announced at the Gazebo and Santa will light the town Christmas tree. Following the tree lighting, Santa will be available for "take your own pictures" at the Bristol Lodge A.F. & A.M.. Parade commentary and coverage is provided by North TV.
